On Saturday after our run, Jeff and I traveled the mile and a half up the road to Samford University to check out the campus and Cumberland School of Law, one of the schools I have applied to. It is a beautiful campus, as you can see for yourself here:
After seeing the immediate area and the school itself, it moved up the list. The area has a huge running community and there is even a running trail across the street. I plan to attend their Open House on November 20 and tour the law school. When I visited Charleston in January, the Open House was the best opportunity for me to meet the Dean of Admissions and spend some time introducing myself to him.
I want to give a shout out to my dear friend Crystal Williams, who I found out actually reads this crazy blog. Crystal is one of my oldest friends and I adore her. She is one of those special people (not short-bus special) that no matter how long we go without talking or seeing each other, we pick right up where we left off. She's been my friend through a lot of things - good, bad and indifferent, and I am better person for having a friend like her. And, I know you are reading this blog, so are you going to pay me now for saying nice things about you? Seriously - love you girl!!
Also, to my awesome mother and fabulous husband - as I embark on this scary journey that is law school, I just want you both to know that I could never do any of this without you. I thank God every day for letting me be born to you, Mom and to marry you, Jeff. You both inspire, motivate and constantly challenge me to be all that God made me to be. Oh yeah, Jeff, I'll be waiting for you at the Finish Line on Saturday at the half marathon.

COOL SCHOOL!
HA! HA! Did you have to say I was your OLDEST friend? Love you!
I finally remembered to read it and I'm at a loss for words. You are my strength, my rock, my life. I am so blessed that God had a plan for us to find each other. The journey is just beginning baby. I love you!
